"A book is a friend; a good book is a good friend. It will talk to you when you want it to talk, and it will keep still when you want it to keep still; and there are not many friends who know enough to do that."

August 7, 2008:
The 2008 Summer Reading Program at the Berwyn Public Library was a huge
success!
We had over 200 adult participants who turned in more than 270 reading
logs, for a grand total of over 800 books read.

Adult Summer Reading Program

Metamorphosis @ Your Library

Monday, June 2 through Saturday, August 2

The definition of Metamorphosis has many variations – come and explore them all during our adult Summer Reading Program.  Simply read or listen to three books per reading log; each completed reading log is an entry into a free drawing.

And new this summer, every two hours logged of reading with a child counts as one book read on your own!

Our nine week program gives you plenty of time to fill out as many reading logs as you would like.  Stop by the Readers’ Advisory desk to register and receive your first reading log and sign-up giveaway.

Check out our reading lists for the Summer Reading Program,
found in our Annotated Bibliographies!
Look for Bug Books, Coming of Age Books, and books on Supernatural Beings.

Saturday Movie Events

Sign up for the adult summer reading program and then join us for two Metamorphosis @ Your Library movie events.  Enjoy two free movies on each day, popcorn and other refreshments; come for one or both movies, and have a chance to win a fabulous prize during our attendee only drawings, one held after each movie.
