Need help finding a new book to read?  Looking for a new author or a suggested title?  You have come to the right place!

Subscription Databases Available to Berwyn Patrons

The two databases listed below are general fiction resources and are available to Berwyn patrons.  The barcode on your library card is your Patron ID / User Name, so make sure to have that available to log in.

  • Novelist - A one-stop shop for summaries, series, read-a-likes, book discussion guides, award winners and more, our subscription gives you access to NoveList, NoveList Plus (includes non-fiction), and NoveList K-8.
  • Reader's Advisor Online - A wonderful website that is compiled by professional reader's advisors; this database offers tons of read-a-likes in multiple genres (including non-fiction).  It also includes essays and information for book clubs.

General Fiction Resources - Available Free Online

There are also many free Internet sites that have loads of information for the leisure reader.  Follow this link for the sites we recommend.

Mystery and Crime Fiction Resources - Available Free Online

These websites will help you find killer new books and authors.
