3-4 Year Old Story Time

May 1st, 2014, 10:00am to 10:45am
Story Time aims to introduce children to the world of books and reading with fun, interactive experiences in a safe environment. Sessions can run from 30 to 45 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, games, finger plays and a simple craft activity.

Computer Tutoring

May 1st, 2014, 10:00am to 11:30am
Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products.
Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and participants are encouraged to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others.
Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring a laptop from home, in order to practice on their own computer.

ESL Basic Writing

Learn grammar, spelling, and punctuation (from the beginning) in this drop-in study group. Practice writing messages, filling out applications, and much more. Start anytime!

Whatever Art

May 1st, 2014, 4:30pm to 5:30pm
Sometimes art isn't about creating something; sometimes it's just about creating. You bring the creativity; we have the supplies! Come sift through crafting materials to see what inspires you and make... whatever art you want!

Open Tutoring

Need help with math, reading, or writing? We can help you study for a placement test or the GED. Start attending anytime and drop-in as needed. We will develop a personal learning plan for you based on when your test is scheduled; however, we cannot guarantee good results through "cramming." Don't delay!

Open Baby Play

Play is an important part of all areas of development in a wee one. Give your baby the benefits of play in a social environment and network with other parents / caregivers in this relaxed, informal environment. For ages 5 months - 24 months; no registration required.

Shred-A-Thon

Midway Document Destruction will have their industrial shredder truck on hand to safely shred and recycle all your old papers. The truck will be located in the far parking lot (across Riverside Drive) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Bring your small pile or trash bag full anytime during these hours!

Students at a very high level might find personal tutoring more helpful, but everyone is welcome to try the group to see if they like it.
