Tween Scene

Grades 6-8

Are you in middle school? Want something fun to do to beat the heat? Mix up some slime, get crafty, do trivia, play games, and more at your library!

Please register at 708.795.8000 ex 3088, on our website, or in person at the Youth Services desk. Sign up begins 30 days before event. You must register for each individual session.

Berwyn Characters Do Storytime!

Berwyn characters have descended upon the library and they want to read you stories! These characters are people who you might spot all around Berwyn! Featuring Aaron Mitchell from the Outtaspace, Erika Corona-Owens from the Berwyn Development Corporation, the Berwyn Fire Department, and more!

Little Learners Storytime

For 3 to 5 year olds. Storytimes introduce children to the joy of books and develop their early literacy skills with fun, interactive experiences. Sessions run 45 - 60 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, playtime, word play, or a simple craft.

Pride Button Making for Teens

In celebration of June being LGBTQ Pride month, the Berwyn Public Library is hosting a button making event! Stop by the Teen Room during the week of 6/11-6/15 from 2-5 pm to create buttons that represent your pride.

Rising Readers Storytime

For 5 and up.

Storytimes introduce children to the joy of books and develop their early literacy skills with fun, interactive experiences. Sessions run 45-60 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, playtime, word play, or a simple craft.

Basic Technology Skills

June 13th, 2018, 10:30am to 12:00pm
Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Learn to use the smartphone or tablet you recently acquired. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products. Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others. Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

Senior Social Party

Welcome seniors 55 and over! This program is open to residents of all communities and no fee or registration is required. We play board games, cards, and puzzles -- or just come to socialize and enjoy refreshments.

ESL Basic Reading and Writing

This class is taught by a Project CARE tutor and registration is required. Please call 708-656-8000 ext. 2383 to register and for more information. This free class will help you improve your reading skills, build vocabulary and strengthen your writing skills.

KCGB

The Knitting and Crochet Guild of Berwyn (KCGB) meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturday and on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. Join us to practice your craft in a social setting or to learn a new skill!
