Open Tutoring

Need help with math, reading, or writing? We can help you study for a placement test or the GED. Start attending anytime and drop-in as needed. We will develop a personal learning plan for you based on when your test is scheduled; however, we cannot guarantee good results through "cramming." Don't delay!

Open Baby Play

Play is an important part of all areas of development in a wee one. Give your baby the benefits of play in a social environment and network with other parents / caregivers in this relaxed, informal environment. For ages 5 months - 24 months; no registration required.

ESL Study Group - Beginner

Practice makes perfect! Our ESL study group is for beginner and intermediate adult learners who want to improve English listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students at a very high level might find personal tutoring more helpful, but everyone is welcome to try the group to see if they like it.

Creative Kids Craft Club

Fun is in store this spring with magnificent crafts to spark your imagination and help you think creatively! Join Miss LaRaie for a different project every week.
Please register at 708.795.8000 ex 3088, on our website, or in person at the Youth Services desk. Sign up begins 30 days before event. Enrollment registers you for the whole six week session. Holidays may interfere with some dates.

Spring Tea Party

Don your dressy best, boys and girls! Sip tea and celebrate spring with your grown-up as you make crafts, enjoy snacks and hear stories for our 5th Annual Tea Party.

Artsy-Smartsy Craft Club

April 28th, 2014, 1:30pm to 2:15pm
Crafts help children develop fine motor skills and creativity, all while having fun! Join Miss Kathi for a different art project every week. A parent or caregiver must stay with the child for the program.

Anime Mondays

Much of the manga in the Teen Collection has been made into animated television series and features that air primarily in Japan. Every Monday we will feature either an episode from a featured anime series or an animated film. No commercials, nothing but the tasty cream of the animated crop!

5-9 Year Old Story Time

Story Time aims to introduce children to the world of books and reading with fun, interactive experiences in a safe environment. Sessions can run from 30 to 45 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and a simple craft activity.

2 Year Old Story Time

Story Time aims to introduce children to the world of books and reading with fun, interactive experiences in a safe environment. Sessions can run from 30 to 45 minutes and may include stories, rhymes, songs, finger plays and a simple craft activity.
