Youth Volunteers

April 28th, 2015, 4:30pm to 6:00pm
For use of the Youth Volunteer Program. Youth volunteers are in 6th-8th grade. Teen volunteers are 9th -12th grade. Stop at the Youth Services desk to pick up applications or go to http://www.berwynlibrary.org/junior-volunteer-program-jvp.

Computer Tutoring

Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products.
Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others.
Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

STEAM Punks

April 29th, 2015, 5:00pm to 6:00pm
STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Join us once a month for a fun and challenging activity. Explore physics and simple machines with “Real-life Angry Birds!” Study chemistry with “Candy Chromatography!”

Free Comic Book Day

In celebration of Free Comic Book Day, come to the Teen Room for free comics, prizes, snacks, and more! Berwyn's own Comic Collector will also be on hand with giveaways of its own.

In Dreams: Roy Orbison Retrospective

May 2nd, 2015, 2:00pm to 3:30pm
The 'In Dreams' Retrospective traces Roy Orbison's career from the first song he learned at age six through his music with the Traveling Wilburys shortly before his untimely death in 1988. Lead singer Ron Holm channels Orbison's music with uncanny fidelity, and the program includes many of Orbison's most familiar songs in addition to songs by musicians who influenced him. Accompanists Jannie Nelson and John Bishoff provide lush orchestrations and vocal harmonies that were characteristic of Orbison's studio sound.

Anime Mondays

Teen Volunteer Appreciation Party

You've worked hard these last few months, so now we want to reward YOU with pop and pizza. All Teen Volunteers are welcome to come to our end of the month Teen Volunteer Appreciation Party where they can play games, participate in trivia, and eat food.
