Basic Reading and Writing Group

This class is taught by a Project CARE tutor and covers reading, writing and vocabulary. Registration is required. Please call 708-656-8000 ext. 2383 to register and for more information.

Basic Computer Skills

10:30am to 12:00pm
Work on the computer skills you need to develop with an instructor present to answer questions as needed. Practice using the mouse or typing; search the internet; set-up or use email or Facebook; work on projects using Microsoft Office 2010 products. Sessions are drop-in, on a first-come first seated basis. Seating is limited, and we encourage you to attend only once a week in order to allow time for others. Participants are welcome to bring a laptop or tablet from home, in order to practice on their own device.

Middle School Volunteers

Our middle school volunteer program is drop-in style (with the exception of high volume dates in late February/early March).
An application is required - please fill out this Google form before you show up to volunteer! Dates and times are subject to change.

Join us for this special holiday celebrating children, literacy, multiculturalism, and bookjoy! We will have live music, snacks, and a free book for the first 60 children. Don’t miss this wonderful event!

Shred-a-thon

Do you have loads of old papers with personal information piling up at home?  Don't know how to dispose of them safely?  We have the perfect solution.  Midway Moving and Storage will have an industrial shredder in the auxiliary parking lot. They will accept any and all papers which will be safely destroyed while you wait and then recycled, all at absolutely no cost to you!
