"There is divine beauty in learning, just as there is human beauty in tolerance. To learn means to accept the postulate that life did not begin at my birth. Others have been here before me, and I walk in their footsteps. The books I have read were composed by generations of fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, teachers and disciples. I am the sum total of their experiences, their quests. And so are you."

—Elie(zer) Wiesel (b. 1928) Romanian-born writer, lecturer, survivor Nazi camps, Nobel

Prince CharmingHear ye, hear ye to all lads and lasses:

Come one, come all to the 1st Annual Fairy Tale Ball!

Appear as your favorite fairy tale character.  Meet the Fairy God Mother, the Muffin Man, the Big Bad Wolf, Mother Goose, and lots of your favorite fairy tale characters.  Join us in the Grand Ballroom for Old English Dancing and the enchanting sounds of the palace musicians.  There will be light refreshments and lots of fun activities.

Costumes for all, including Lords and Ladies of the Land (Dad & Mom...), are strongly encouraged - attendance without costume will require 2 non-perishable canned goods for the King and Queen's charity of the land.
