Classroom Visits [1]

The Youth Services Librarians are more than happy to visit your school or classroom for special assemblies or projects. In addition to handing out information, we can also talk about upcoming programs, the importance of getting library cards, or we can present information in conjunction with a research project. We are also able to attend evening events, such as Family Reading Nights or PTA Meetings. Please contact us if you are interested in having us come to your school!

"Tell Me A Story" - Classroom Story Times for Preschoolers

This theme-based program brings story times to community preschools. Books, puppetry, flannel stories, and music are used to build important early literacy skills. To encourage reading at home, each child will be given a book to take with them at the end of each story time, including bilingual books.  Available October through April.  For more information call Outreach Services at 708-795-8000, ext. 3020.
