The Berwyn Public Library participates in the Every Child Ready to Read initiative.  Learning to read and write is critical for success in school and throughout life. By starting early, we recognize learning to read begins long before a child enters school.

Our library plays a key role in disseminating information about the importance of early literacy to parents, child care providers, early childhood educators, children’s advocates and political decision makers. The Berwyn Public Library is a community partner in the common public goal of helping children become successful readers and learners.  Take a look at one of our preschool outreach storytimes.

Please call Josephine Tucci at 708-795-8000, ext. 3020 for more information.

Looking for a place to warm up?

The Berwyn Library is one of five designated warming centers within the City.

And we have so many events going on, and quiet places to read, or computers to use, it's a good place for anyone, one person or even the whole family, to spend a couple of hours out of the cold.
