Ghosts of Route 66

Route 66 winds through countless communities on its way from Chicago to California. Along the way the culture of the highway includes ghostly stories and haunting legends. Route 66 also includes many ghost towns—places left behind by the changing tides of economics and alternate paths. David Clark will explore with us both the Ghost Stories and the Ghost Towns to be found along the country’s most famous highway.

Health Care in Retirement

This presentation is an in-depth discussion on Health Care in Retirement. Jim Flanagan will go into detail on the different parts of Medicare: Parts A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans), and Part D (Prescription Plans). He will provide an in-depth analysis of Medicare Supplements and the different plans that are available. Those attending will also receive an overview of long-term care insurance and the four most common strategies used to protect yourself from the high costs of long-term care.

Youth Job Fair

August 18th, 2015, 10:00am to 2:30pm
In partnership with Cicero Workforce Center, the BPL presents a special job fair to connect area students and young adults with post-secondary education and training institutions that will help them prepare and gain employment in various industries. Employers will be on hand to conduct interviews and accept applications. From 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
