Join the Berwyn Writers Group! No previous experience is necessary, and no registration is required. Just a desire to share your writing in a supportive and fun environment.

Intended as a special time for patrons age 55+ to have fun and socialize with friends, the program is open to seniors from all communities, and no registration is required.

After taking pre-tests to determine which subjects need improvement, students study for the GED test using a personalized learning plan. Some topics are studied as a group, while others topics may be studied one-to-one with a tutor, or studied independently using suggested materials. Students may use a library card to check out study books. When students are ready, they can take a mock-GED full-length test to simulate the complete experience, which will let them know if they are truly ready to pass the test.

An evening with Agatha Christie, the prolific English “Queen of Crime” and creator of such famous detectives as Hercule Poirot, the eccentric Belgian and English spinster Miss Jane Marple.

Come be a part of our newest book club at Olive or Twist (6906 Windsor Ave) in Berwyn’s historic Depot District. We don’t discuss one book, but lots of titles! Come and tell us what you have read and loved, then mingle and chat with other book lovers. This eclectic martini bar offers a refreshing backdrop to thoughtful literary conversations.
